Actually I was reading and it says take the valve off and put the silencer on which is appears you did. Maybe the silencer is clogged, try removing it with the pump running and see what happens.

Was it the silencer?
It actually looks like a kinda slick design for a HOB skimmer. I like that you can use the last chamber for filter media if you want.

Foam stopped?

I put the silencer back on for a second to see what would happen and the foam stoped and the first chamber drained. do i unpluged it, put the silencer back on and turned it back on, and took the silencer back off, and it still drained. il just keep re-booting it till i can get it to do what it was before.

Hold your thumb over the air hose when you start the pump. That will restart the siphon.

Some of those silencers have a filter in them, if it gets wet it wont draw air.

ahhhh ok...........i hate this thing. stuped skimmer lol wish it would just work.
