sweetlips are cute and they get up to about 16 inches they are from the grouper family. my LFS has one that is about 12 inches long , someone brought him in on a trade
Sweetlips are hard to take care of in the aquarium trade. Most of them slowly starve in an aquarium. It is a real task to try and get them to eat. Garlic does not even work. Only a novice should buy this fish.
This fish has about a 0% chance of survival in captivity, and that includes with very experienced hobbyists. They just do not do well in captivity....like moorish idols.
And they do not keep that coloration when they grow up (in the wild). Very pretty fish...good for photos, but please do not buy one!
