Not suitable for kids....

The pictures that follow are awful. They show my tang after it got stuck in one of my powerheads and got the Picasso- Niger treatment...
I had the fish for a couple of days and looked fine. It was eating well, swiming -behaving normally, and the triggers never chased him or bothered it.
I have no clue whatsoever as to what happened to it.
Sad.
I hope it was not eaten while it was still alive.....

I guess they are between 5 to 7 inches if I have this thing right.
I will post a couple of pics to show relative size (the triggers and the tang)

The niger the largest of the two but not by that much. As a matter of fact, he is about the same length as the grouper

As they say live and learn....triggers aren't "nice" fish!
I got rid of a Picasso because he was nasty...he was beating on my snowflake!

To be honest I never blamed an animal for acting its nature. Even if I get beaten by a snake (this is an extreme example because snakes are the only animals that give me the creeps) I am sure that it will never be the snake's fault.
In this case with my triggers, I do not know what came first... Did they kill the tang and then ate it, or did the tang died and then the triggers ate it.
But I will not change the picaso for anything. I have yet to see a fish with better character!

I had a maroon clown get stuck in a powerhead and its only tankmates were tangs, so it could have just been the powerhead

Too bad about your tang. Something similar happened to me, but the tables were turned on the picasso. I guess you can say what goes around comes around! Picture

I must say that is a beautiful pair of triggers. I agree with you that humu humu's have a great personality. Too bad about the tang. I have a 14" snowflake and my humu stays away from it. Mine is maturing so who knows what will happen in the future, i'm just going to keep watching for signs of aggression.

Will a Mod PLEASE edit this! in the above posts . . . . thanks
I know that it was unintentional in the first place, but it looks bad.

To bad about that tang, your Huma Huma had great color. I have a Huma Huma and he is very entertaining, mean too, at 3 inches long he dominates the tank that has a 6' clown trigger, 4' squirle fish and a 24' snowflake eel.
