Not sure if this is the right place...

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I have a crab issue

I found a crab in a piece of my LR and was told about a bottle trap methord to catch it. What I need to know is if the bottle trap does not work, if I put the LR in a high level of saltwater say 1.030-35 would the crab come out and more to the point would it hurt my LR and make me have to re-cure it all over again. The LR is a swwet piece and I would hate to damage it in any way. It is about 10 years old and such a nice big piece, but I have to get him out since most say he is not reef safe, anyone know if it would hurt my LR to put it in a high sality .

Thank you so much for the quick response, If the bottle trap does not work I will dip the LR. I was going to do my water change in the AM anyway so it would be the best time to dip it.

Rock be fine when you dip it, you have about two hours to get the crab out.
The organism will strate dying after that.
