Not sure what this is

This is growing in my refugium on one of the LR. Its the white stringy stuff. Its hooked onto the rock. Doesn't wiggle of move. I touched it and it doesn't sting. Maybe it should come out?

I didn't know sponges could be stringy. any idea what type, so I can do some reseach?

ID requires some of the more experienced folks...I would call it "white". I have some that looks very similar.
No special treatment needed, it will wax and wane according to nutrients available.
"Enjoy the diversity" as Spanko would say...

Thanks for the help. I found the exact picture of what I have. Wonder would it be better in the display tank?

Will probably do better where it is. Likes lower light dirtier water. Filter feeder and will help to keep the fuge doing its job of cleaning up.
