Not sure what's on these rocks??

Any idea what these are on the rocks?
They look like tan/brown-ish tubes on this one...

And then this one... Hope you can see it. There's two spots that almost look like cotton or something? The one is purple and the other is Green right beside it.

Tiny feather dusters (not sure of the name) they are filter feeders, pretty harmless from my understanding. I have a bunch in my tank to.

I do not know what the first pic is called though...I do know I have lots of them....they are hard..right? I don't think they are dangerous though

Yep. The tubes are hard to the touch.
I thought feather dusters had the pretty feathers on the ends? These are always just the tube

NO, those are not feather dusters.....Like I said I don't know what they are called, BUT if you touch it I bet it snaps off....a feather dusters tube is not brittle like that

Maybe not. I have some that look like the same thing on my rocks and in the evenings I can often see little feathers come out of them.

Well, mine seem pretty stiff... I poked at them and they didn't snap off but I've not seen any little feathers either so

As long as they are not hurting anything I don't figure it matters

I've never seen anything at the end of them like that. Maybe they are dead and it's just the shell that is left?

i only see the vermetids let out their net when i do water changes
