Not your typical perc

Hey guys and girls-
Got a new friend today but he is special- i have seen different patterns, but none like this (in real life anyway) his name is spot, what do you think?

very nice. Hey, what is the difference between a 'false' or 'true' perc? What do those terms mean in this manner.

very nice, ive seen percs like that at my lfs, there called misbar clowns i think, theyr mutations

two completey different species
false as mentioned, NORMALLY has a finer black line seperating the colors
false are also more docile in general, not that true percs are outwardly aggressive, but just more so
the true perc also get a little bigger

Is that a tank raised perc?
I have a TR false perc that has a grey third stripe instead of white.

Hey "j21kickster" I was in your shop yesterday. I even asked for you but they said you weren't there. That is a beautiful tank the 300 gallon open right as you come in the door! Great variety of fish.
Nice pics by the way. How often do you all get in live rock?

we get in rock when it sells out- usually monthly-
Sorry i missed you- btw how did you ask for me-by name or reference to this site? Hopefully not by this site b/c my boss and i dont get along about websites- especially ones that sell SW stuff and that i am a member of:eek: - i could see trouble in the future

That is a cool clownfish. Looks like a cross between a tomato and a perc. Great pics of the sixline too:D You know I love them.

Wow great looking fish but are you sure it's just not a baby that has grown all of it's stripes yet. Hope it isnt b/c that fish would be an awsome addition.

i know:D speaking of six line- i wonder who named it went by the red lines or the blue ones- there is 6 of each- mabye it should be a 12 line wrasse

I was just thinking the same thing yesterday! You know you are a fishgeek when you find yourself thinking "hmm..I wonder if they counted the blue stripes or the red stripes???:rolleyes:

Congrats on the new addition. I also like the pics of the six-line. Looking to add one to my tank in the near future.
