I just got the 8 x 54 watt Nova Extreme. Love it. It was actually too bright. I replaced 2 of the 10K bulbs with Fiji Purple and might change a third.

The Nova Extreme is pretty good.
The Coralife fixture isn't. A.) Do you have room for a 48" over your refugium? B.) My brother woke up to the one over our 90gal pretending it was a chimney, with a plume of smoke coming from it. C.) Macro algaes tend to do better with 5500k to 6700k lighting, instead of the typical 10,000k/actnics of display fixtures. D.) It isn't cheap enough. You can find them for $47 online for new.

I recently purchased the Nova Extreme Pro, nice light (the fans didn't seem abnormally loud)- however I can't hear anything over my skimmer any way.
Two of the bulbs don't seem to be working though(I believe it is the connector's but they have been not working and then they'll work).
(the only gripe I have is it's on my 55 gallon, and it's really covers the entire top!)

yes i have room for the 48" over my fuge (its a 75). its almost new and comes with extra bulbs. even though it will eventually become an "extra" (im gonna eventually switch it out for my nova extremes that i have over my current tank) id think that $35 was reasonable for it since its pretty much new, no?

not if you can buy it brand new, fully warrantied for 12 bucks more, 35 isnt a good enough price, talk him down to 25 an you should be ok

I own a 48'" Nova Extreme Pro and couldn't be happier with it. I think its the best bang for the buck right now. I also see you found it at the lowest price on line. I have ordered from them and have had no problems.
