Nova Extreme T5 moonlight leds not working; Can I repair it?

Hey guys. I've had a Nova Extreme T5 HO (4x 54W) for about four years. I'm not sure when it happened, but the moonlight leds stopped working. I'd like to get it working again and am wondering if this is something I can repair.
I've done a fair amount of electronics work before so I don't doubt that I can figure out if it's the power supply, loose connection or a problem with the leds themselves. My concern is taking everything apart and putting it back together. Has anyone taken one apart? Is it just a matter of taking the reflector off to access the wiring?

I did a little searching and found that a replacement for the Current led ac adapter is available for sale. Does this mean that these things have been known to fail? If so, it'd be a lot easier to just cut the wires and splice a new ac adapter than it would be to tear the whole thing apart. Has anyone had the ac adapter fail?
