I purchased the Nova Extreme T5 that is 4' long and has four 54W T5-HO bulbs for my 110g FOWLR. I'm new to this, but I have been pleased so far with this purchase.
Each of the 4'/54W bulbs is rated at 5000 lumens. From the wetwebmedia site, they recommend 50-100 lumens per gallon (sight unseen), and/or possibly double that, or more, if you want to grow anything. From what I understand, fish don't really need/care how much light there is (just that it's consistent and any changes are done gradually). With LR in your systems, you probably do care how much light there is. For a 100g FOWLR, you could then have 20000 lumens, or 200 lumens/gallon (which seems like alot to me). From what I've heard, if you're going reef, or if your tank is more than 24" deep, you'll want to go with MH.
I like the Nova Extreme in that you have four things you can plug in/control with timers. There are two plugs for the four bulbs and then a plug for the LED moonlights and a plug for the fan. I love the moon lights, and I like that the moon lights and T5's are all in one package. The overall quality of the product is excellent. It has a nice slide on/off acrylic cover beneath the bulbs and the optional legs for the lamp fit nicely into egg crate holes!
The only downside I see is that the Nova Extreme doesn't have individual reflectors for each bulb (like the Tek does, I believe). However, the Nova Extreme doesn't cost as much as the Tek either.
