This is my skimmer plummed external from the sump. Its an ETSS Reef Devil. Its freakin rockin some thick as- foam. Its been up for about 4 months. WOW huh

Its a mag-7 pump. Its cycles my tank about 4x per hr!

I love ETSS Skimmers. I had one on my 75, and now I have a big one on my 210. They work great.

My water sparkles with this thing.....I was at the SHED AQUARIUM in Chicago a few months back. This place is aquarium muesum....its like Disney, all they used were the ETSS Skimmers, and this place cost millions. Of all the skimmers they could use...it was ETSS on there tanks :thinking:

I just got a Coralife Super Skimmer and I am amazed at how well the thing works for how little I paid for it. Coralife gets two thumbs up from me again.

why couldn't you use a skimmer on a freshwater tank?
wouldn't the mechanism still be the same? foam fractation->dump out the crud.

doesnt work fresh water wont bubble like salt water does it wont make the foam at all it has something to do with the salt in the water which alows the bubbles to lift away the crap

Mine only looks like that if I add a water conditioner

Needless to say I don't use any more conditioners due to the mess it made.

What's there to be jealous of? I have an air driven skimmer I built for about 20 bucks that works just as well.
