Now This Is Ridiculous!!!

If this was a legimate safety concern, I could accept it. Like if a kid was 'too big' to play Pee-Wee football, and had to be moved up a league or two, I can live with that. But the concern is over if one of his pitches hits another player. Alright, so he throws at 40mph the article says. What's the next fastest kid in 8-9 year olds throw at? 25-30mph? Is there any difference, at all, of potential injuries? No IMO. A 30mph baseball is going to leave the same bruise a 40mph ball will.
So I guess this really is a 'everybody's a winner" retarded syndrome...

That is rediculous... i wish i could get ahold of those league 'administrators'
maybe micheal phelps should be banned from swimming because no one else can win when he is in the water. His body proportions give him an unfair advantage.

his coach stated that he has never injured anyone and shows control!!!
play him up but dont ban him!!!
my son plays machine pitch at 35 to 40 mph (he is 6 should have been in Tball but i petitioned to play him up)... he got hit his first time at bat... as soon as the tears cleared i put him right back in there so that he would lose that fear... by seasons end he had struck out 3 times, and got 2 extra base hits...

My daughter will compete in the next higher bracket at the next karate tournament. She was told (somewhat jokingly) that she was bringing home too many trophies. She considers that an honor.

Support the kid for goodness sake, don't dissuade kids from doing well. I am ashamed of and embarassed by the actions of my fellow human beings.

OMG I saw this today. Poor kid just wants to play and ge is really good at pitching. People gotta stop complaining and let him play

this is what you get with "soccer moms" who dont wanna get beat... and wont let there kids play because they dont want there kids to get "hurt" people need to grow up and admit there are better players then there kids.

i think that is terrible and these are sports and you need to let kids play, its sports and especially at that age they just want to go out there and play whether they lose or not and in the article it says hes an accurate pitcher so its not like hes hitting all the kids if he was hitting all the kids thats understandable but hes not i say just let the kid play.
