Now what?

Ok, so I finally set up my QT tank to get rid of the ich problem i had, and I started the Hyposalinity process. I dropped my salinity half way to 1.009, and will drop it fully tomorrow to 1.009 I tried to fead my fish while they are in the QT tank, and they won't eat. What do I do now?
Also, the only thing left in my 80 gallon tank is my Chocolate chip starfish. Are you sure that eventually, the ich that was in my 80 gallon tank will go away and die since there are no fish to host it?
Any advice now?

I have ich in my reef right now and am treating the tank with Kick-Ich. It is the only thing I have heard of that is safe for about everything , inverts included so I am giving it a try. I have heard both good and bad about it so who knows.

Not sure how to get your fish to eat... Ich has a lifecycle that last somewhere from 4 - 6 weeks. So if you don't have any fish to host it in your tank now, then in that amount of time, you should be ich free. Good luck!

:notsure: Thanks guys...Yeah, I have rid ich too, but I don't know if I should give it a try in my display tank or not. I did it once, but the Chocolate chip star fish didn't react good to it. I am debating with myself if I should try it again or not.
Anyhow, as for the fish in my QT tank. They won't eat, and the food is sitting at the bottom of the QT tank. It's as if they don't even see it. I read in the Diseased fish section that they might not eat if they seem confused, or disoriented. I didn't read that section until after I set up my QT tank. Now they DON'T have any black, or blue background, the whold tank is see-through from all ends. That is probably the problem right for why they won't eat? Is it too late to get some sort of background in there? I think I messed up. What do I do now?

If there is nothing left in your tank raise the temperature, ich does not like it warm. And it does have a life cycle, no fish no ich, but, in time.
