I think we have every right to be cautious about posts. If you look the past two days there have been more posts (especially today) from new people asking the same questions then i've seen in the 10 months i've been looking at this forum. There are daily posts, but usually from people who have posted 50+ posts, and you get a few new people a week (maybe two or three). All the sudden within a 24 hour period of one flamer screwing with everyone and you get 5 or 6 different new people, all new posting about very basic topics - seems very fishy to me.
That doesn't mean they aren't real posts, but lets not kid ourselves.
Back to the post: I agree, it doesn't look like he spend 2000 dollars on that tank, and with a 30 gallon tank, even if you included a chiller, minus corals it would be very difficult to spend 2k on a 30 gallon. Since he only got a tank, clownfish, and anemone he may have spent 2k on stuff that has died since purchase, but you don't have that much stuff in equipment.
Sell back the tang, it will get way too large for your tank, and eventually will probably get eaten by the anemone b/c of the size of the tank. Just take our advise and sell back the tang, and don't add anything to the tank for a while.
