I have had my lr in my tank for quite a while now. I just tested 2 day and the results are.
temp 79.2
pH 8.1
ammonia 0
nitrite 0 ppm
nitrate i think is around 2.5
is this good enough to consider my cycle over
also now what? I have rock but i have plans hopefully to add more (25 pounds of tonga branch. Should I order it and re-cycle the whole tank? Or should I order it and cycle it in a seperate area (I have one ready if needed).
thanks

I would cycle the new rock in a separate tank. It sounds as though your rock was cured when you bought it. If the new rock has a lot of die off, it will risk the life on your current rock. You did have a cycle, but it was a very soft cycle. You may want to ghost feed your tank, that is add a small amount of fish food and allow it to produce ammonia, to build up your bacteria.

Anytime

Please understand that without a good amount of bacteria in the tank, it will cycle more with your first fish in there. Build up the bacteria before the fish go in.

No, it isn't bad. The diatoms are natural. Are you sure that you have hair algae? Post a picture of your algae.
