I'm not at home, so I can't answer this question myself:
Is Salifert's Nitrite test the one that turns pink. If so, are you looking sideways through it, or down the tube? Across is /10, so you're reading is actually .01.
I assume you're coming out of the cycle?

OK so here is the story. I received a 29 gallon salt water aquarium for Christmas. Yes this last christmas. I have live sand, and rock in it. Two clown fish, 5 snails and a star fish. I have done everything from the advise of the guy at the pet store. Last week I was told from this forum to purchase some test equipment, so I did. The results are what is posted. I will be changing out 20% of the water next week. Everything seems to be going fine but I don't have a clue as to what I doing. I do what I'm told like a good little boy but have no idea if what I'm doing is right or not.

How long has the tank been set up?
Was it brand new or sold as is?
If its band new and newly set up ur tank is still cycling. Best bet would be to take the clownfish back to the lfs and wiat for the cycle to finsih..
If not then keep doing 25-50 % water changes until ur paramters blance out

Sideways and yes I believe it is .01 and not .1 Thanks for catching that.

Np. Do the same thing all the time.
Ammonia test is a pain too. It always looks like its reading something.
Have you tested alkalinity? With pH so low, that should be checked.
Other than that, it looks like your cycle is complete.
