Nudibranch experts...check this guy out-

My lfs has this in their "not for sale" tank. Knowing the needs of almost all of these specimens, and knowing the care expertise of this particular lfs, I'd say he's soon to be a goner.:nope: I was just wondering if anyone had any exact knowledge on this guy. Thanks.
Also, has anyone had any experience with newspaper nudi's? I have no interest ever getting any Nudibranch, just wondering if anyone has succeeded in keeping one.

p.s.-
The pic shown is not of the actual nudibranch, I pasted it from a gallery type site. I don't know who the photographer was, so I can't give them credit-just thought I'd add, as not to step on anyones toes.

Never heard of a newspaper nudi before, can you get me the scientific name?

I asked if anyone had any experience with them...specifically, I was wondering what their care requirements were. Thomas, I'm not sure of their scientific name, but they sell them on this site, and when I said nudibranch experts, I was hoping you'd reply.:)

Well I'll tell ya. I checked around for newspaper nudibranch and really didn't come up with anything using google and the famous sea slug site. Looking at the photo from SWF they don't even list the proper name so its kindof hard to look up.
Let me do some more digging.

Yeah, it figures it's the only without a sci. name listed. Thanks for the imput...how 'bout the yellow guy up top? What do you know about him?

O.K. Thomas, do a google on ceratophyllidia papilligera. Think that's the one for sale as "newspaper"? It's on the sea slug site, too.

Ok been there done that, but looks are where the similarity ends. At this point I would not rule out sea hares either.
I might have to contact Admin and see if I can get an ID on the one that they show.
See if you can get your lfs to see where they got theres from and contact them to see if you can get ID. (the yellow one)
I would also ask the lfs what that nudi is eating.
Sorry, but its like trying to id a crab, needle in a haystack, and without any info on them there is no way it would go in my tank.

Thanks, Thomas.
No....definitely would never go in my tank, either. I will see what I can find out and reply back. Thanks.

I visit a few. I don't want to say their exact name, because I don't want to give them any free publicity due to their not so great husbandry skills. I'm in the bingamton, Johnson City, Vestal area. Where is Lathum?
