number of powerheads and placement

hey guys
I was just wondering how many powerheads (and what size) you have in your tanks compared to the gallon size of your tank? Also where do you place them? Anyone with pics would be greatly appreciated!
thanks Sean

I have 2 maxijet 900's facing oneanother in my 60g and then a rio800 off to the side...plus the current from the penguin 330 and the remora skimmer...plus the return from the UV sterilizer

I have two over the backs running empty, two powerheads in each top back corner, a powerhead hidden behind a rock dead center pointing back and up, and a mag 7 on the far left back blowing behind the pile of rocks. About 2700 GPH in a 90. I believe good water movement is EXTREMELY important, and 30 times over works well for me.

I have started running the Douphin dp-650 or dp-800 in my 240 reef...they do come in different sizes..and styles so do look around at all the pictures or see one...they are cheap and move a lot of water...the main thing I like is the intake is large. It is the complete size of the bottom of the pump. This keeps small critters from being sucked in. You can also screw pvc fittings into and run spray bar or make two outlets or aim where you please....Have only had them for couple of months so do not know how long they last but so far have been quiet and trouble free. Mine came with 10' cord.. Like I said they do have different models I think the longer cords are for the ponds but wk great in my tank

My fish probably think they are caught in a rip tide, but I've got 4 maxijet 900's: one in the upper right pointed along the back, one beneath it on the bottom pointed up and along the back. I've got one in the middle of the tank in the back pointed roughly in the same direction, and the last one in the upper left corner pointed towards the center front glass. I then have my maxi 9.5 return in the center of the tank pointed towards the front glass. I then have a penguin 400 also with the return flow across towards the front glass. This is in a 150. I was going to sit down and calculate my turnover, but haven't done it yet.
My 55 has 4 maxi900 with roughly the same configuration, and again one penguin 400. I haven't built the sump for this tank yet.
