O-ring question

can i use vaseline to lube my o-ring that goes around my collection cup? Its has some cracks and seems a bit dry to me!~

just get another one...LOL....or use a rubber band, this is the one that is out of the water..right?

No petroleum products on O rings that will make it worse. Get some silicone grease in any plumbing department at any hardware or home improvement store. It's super cheap. There are chemicals in vaseline that can cause O rings and rubber seals to break down. Getting a new one works too.
p.s. don't use it on condoms either. Just a little FYI.

lol....okay! im not gonna ask anything thats going through my mind right now!
So i should be able to get another o-ring the right size at the hardware store too, correct?
ya meowz its the one up and out of the water! I got the thing set just where i want it, so it kinda suks its starting to break down! Im gonna have to find the sweet spot again ;)

Follow Corey's advice on the lube!!!! Slim you'll find an O ring at the hardware store, but a shot. What brand skimmer? Why not contact the manufacturer and order a replacement???
