Why not use adult stem cells rather than killing human embryos to harvest stem cells? I don't want my tax dollars used to kill human embryos. If private individuals want to fund the process, let them. The ban only blocked federal tax dollars, not private funding. Why am I being forced to contribute to the killing of human beings when I clearly don't want to? Sometimes I HATE my government. I have no problem at all using tax money for adult stem cell research.

Im am completely against embryonic stem cell research,But i am in favor of umbilical cord and adult stem cell research to be funded by the federal government.

Don't you have enough respect for other people's moral concerns to say that this should be done with private funding rather than our tax dollars? There hasn't really been much progress with embryonic stem cells...there has been much more through adult stem cells which doesn't require killing a human fetus.

It's funny how having 2500 abortions A DAY in the country is fine with liberals... but loose 2500 lives fighting a war with VOLUNTEERS over a few years (yes even one is tradegic) for what they believe in (no one forces us to join the military and yes I'm in the military) and the liberals go crazy saying how bush and his minions killed these poor kids is ridiculous. It also has nothing to do with the Christian Right, it has to do with no one taking responsibility for their actions and want their "easy" way out.
Have a baby once and see if they aren't precious -- and ask people later in life how they felt about the abortions (espcially the lady from roe v. wade). Even check out the "Human Body Exhibit" if you ever have a chance and they have a fetus section (ones that didn't survive naturally) and you'd be amazed how early they have full human features.
Better yet, some of these same people will cry foul when if you should want to flush a damsel.... (I've never done it but its only a damsel) but have no problem with abortion as they aren't "technically alive".
But... on the plus side it will keep the voting liberals down in the future. Read Freakanomics.... has an interesting theory that abortions have dropped crime rates as the babies from 20 years ago that were aborted were on average more likely to be involved with crime.
