that is unfortuante... kind of a bitter sweet moment if he wins... Wins the biggest election and has to go to a funeral the same week.
would be worst if he lost... but sad all the same... what burns me is what Rush was saying about the whole situation ... basically "she has a broken hip or something... big deal... doesn't sound dire to me..."

Havent listened to Rush in ages but if he was talking crap about it that would place him in the same class as moveon, the Kos and huffington clowns, say it aint so
Hadn't heard she had cancer but any break in the hip is serious.
I broke my hip when I was 40 and it damn near killed me. Not the actual break or even the nasty wreck that caused it. Breaks in the hip or upper leg tend to throw off blood clots. I had two hit my lungs and let me tell ya is about sucks. They put some filter in my vein running from the legs to the abdomen so I have to take blood thinners for the rest of my life.

very sad. I am with Beth though, the cancer thing surprised me, I guess maybe it was to keep some of the press from stalking her house??
He will have a heavy heart no matter the outcome of the election.
At least he was able to spend a few quiet days with her last week.

Wow thats sad... I'm sure she was happy to see him as far along as he was though and she must have died a happy woman
