I think most of us are kinda borderline obsessed with this hobby, what other things are the other members obsessed with? Me- Orchids, have a whole room dedicated to just growing phals. Rare coins, Morgans CC's MS65+ DMPLS and my dogs...Off subject, sorry just kinda nice to see what other memebers are also into

ANIMALS!!! :jumping: Right now I have 12 chickens, 2 miniature horses, 2 alpacas, a ram, 3 angora rabbits, 2 miniature rex rabbits, 2 cats, 2 dogs, and my newest addition is a wallaby. He's so cute-here's a pic.

thats really cool. I dont know anything about keeping exotic animals, are there any state regulations where you are? did you have to have a license? Is he tempermental at all?

I guess my other "obsessions" would be, sport bikes, computers (afterall I do have a server room in my house
), and the guitar. I just started the salt thing and I have to say I can see how this could be more addictive than crack. I'm already wanting a big tank and my 30 hasn't even cycled yet. lol

I hear you on the bigger tank thing.... i got my 30 intending on doing a planted freshwater tank, it changed to a salt tank, and now i want a bigger tank.... :joy:
I guess my other obsessions are skiing (i live for it in the winter time) and The Adirondacks (camping, hiking, canoing, trecking, etc.) I did a few trips last summer, one of 20 miles over 2.5 days. this summer i want to do a few more similar and i want to start on becomming a 46er ( for those not farmilliar, the adirondacks has 46 high peaks and youare a 46er if you have climbed them all) I want to do whiteface and Marcy sometime this summer.

GUNS!! I'm with you there. I knew I was forgetting something. I built Ar-15's and match rifles (mainly from ruger 1022's) for a while. I just don't get out to the range as much as I'd like to.

i wasnt trying to be mean or rude or anything, just letting u know. and i really dont think anybody cares if u go off topic because 90% of these threads go stray off topic anyway

I have several pistols and rifles (love to shoot), play lead guitar in a band, build furniture on the side, and I have a slight X-Box addiction.
But since starting my first salwater tank (a 20 Gal.) 2 months ago, I havent really had time for anything else. I just finished switching my 20 Gal. into a 55 Gal. last week.
If I knew how much money and time I was going to end up spending on this little hobby(addiction) I dont think I ever would have started.
But.....now I cant stop.

Guns!! Definately!! IT was the first present my husband gave me
Were're on the waiting list for a FN PS90! Can't wait to get it! About the wallaby, right now there are no laws saying they are legal or illeagle. He is very friendly and lives in the house with 2 big dogs and a fat cat. He and the cat wrestle, it's pretty funny. I tried posting a clip of it, but I couldn't get it to down load.
I think people that are obsessed in one area, usually have several areas they are obsessed in. I have all my animals so I can spin and knit and crochet!! those are more obsessions! :jumping:

Just about every time I get myself into something new I become obsessed with it. For example the fish tanks... lol
Right now its exercise and girls.

My 2nd main obsession is weather( especially severe weather like tornados and cloud formations of severe storms), Guns outdoors anything like that,landscaping, snorkeling, and quickly becoming obsessed with scuba as i'm trying to get my certification...... still haven't had time being in school to do any open water dives yet
