Ocean HQI Double Ended Metal Halide Bulbs

Any thoughts on these MH bulbs? They come in 12K and 20K. How blue exactly is 12K? I'm tired of that white look, I have to go with something more blue, but not like deep sea blue.

12 k is still pretty "white" looking but if you have actinic supplements they will give a nice blue look. 20k is certainly the strongest blue in appearance but the par levels are lower so you'll have less coral growth. Its a matter person preference for how much "blue" you want.

im gunna recommend the phoenix 14ks. i have em on my tank and i really like them.

About what does a Phoenix 14K 250W HQI run? The Ocean bulbs are only $45 each. I have to buy four which is why I'm concerned
Thanks for the info on the 12K, I had a feeling it was still pretty white.
