Yeah, $9.99 per 5 gallons at the LFS, but wonder is it's a good product. I have an unlimited 50% discount at this place, and wondered if I should try it.
i used two boxes of it and one bag of live sand to start my first salt tank 5 months ago and put two clowns in the same day and still going good
great stuff
Chipmaker--
Sorry to irritate you. I needed to make a quick decision regarding a QT and wanted some quick advice.
My apologies for not having "patience." I deal with "patients" all day.
Thanks for the info Coke--going to give it a try to jump start another QT.

Does it? I thought the boxed water was sterilized and filtered. I could be wrong.
I live in Florida so I can get all the ocean water I want. For free!! That would be a pain in the ass to do it though. My gf did get me a big ass bucket of sand though. It was so heavy she couldn't lift it up. Anyway, I have no opinion on the water but I wouldn't pay for it since it is everywhere down here. I'd by some mountain snow though.

Then I wouldn't use it. Marine Organisms tend to die when boxed in airtight containers for weeks.
The one I looked at says it's been filtered, cleaned, pH balanced, aged, etc. Does not claim to have live organisms in it. Sp. Gr. set at 1.026. Will give it a try for a new set up to help accelerate a cycle.
I answered this in another thread here is what i said

I guess you can afford that water only if you own a nano.
