Oceanic Bio Cube question!!! HELP!

I have the 14gallon BioCube and the submersible pump had quit on me!! I need to find a replacement pump ASAP. I cannont find anywhere the replacement pump. The pump is a 137 gph pump. What do you guys reccomend that I do? Can I replace it with a different brand pump or must it be the same one?
What do you reccomend that the highest gph I could go up to if I replace with a different model??

I would go with a MaxiJet 900...I have the 1200 but that is a bit too much power. You want something in the 220 to 260 gallons per hour. Stay away from the Rio pumps, you will just need to buy another one.
Also are you sure it is dead...sometimes they get stopped up with salt residue. Take a bowl and add 50% warm tap water and 50% WHITE Vinegar...disassemble the pump, let it sit for 8 or 10 minutes in the bowl, scrape away any salt residue you can and rinse. See if that will work.

Thanks alot for the quick response!!! I will look into the maxijet right now. I'm glad to get a response from someone with the exact same tank as me!!
So what you are saying is the 137 gph PH that the BioCube came with is not nearly enough gph , No?

More flow is always better, so you will find a lot of us BC owners upgrade and yes the MaxiJet fits nicely into the chamber.

I have the 14g Biocube and I also upgraded to the MJ900 and it puts out a nice amount of flow and doesn't raise the temp on the tank.

I have the 8 gallon and every time I would switch off the pump for any reason...it won't start back up. I found that if I jiggled and fussed, and unhooked the outgoing line thing and re-attached it then it would start up again. Sometimes it took a while of fussing with it to get it to kick back on. PITA!
