Does anyone have the NEW 29Gal Oceanic Cube??
If so, how is it working out for you for a reef? I like the design, but just want to know before I buy one how it is working for everyone else.
What does everyone see as the ups and downs of it?
HELPPP...

very baddddddddddddddddddddddd....
jk.. no i dont have a 29gal..but I do have a 14gal. I feel so many ppl love theirs, but i dont like my 14gal. I hate the design. If I had to choose between going with a JBJ and an oceanic, i'd go with a JBJ next time.

We have a 29 gal biocube that has been running for a little over three months now. It is our first tank so I don't have anything to compare to. I will say that based on what I have read and seen on this site and elsewhere I believe this is a good beginners tank. Realitivly simple setup. We have replaced the bioballs with LR rubble and added extra filtration. The original lighting seems to be good enough for the soft corals. Right now we have some zoo's, finger leather, green star polyps and mushrooms.

I have the Size 29 Biocube (it actually only holds about 23 gallons) and I love it! This is my first sw tank, so I don't really have anything to compare to, but I do like the fact that since everything is included to get a good tank up and running, I can concentrate on on the aesthetic aspects of the tank (I love decorating!) and not have to worry about putting together the right combination of pumps, skimmers, lighting, etc. I'll have time to worry about all that stuff when I go to plan my next (and much larger!) tank.
I'm still in the early stages of setting up (I have LR, sand, snails, and algae), but I'm excited about the possibility of having something that half as nice looking as some of the beaut's seen on this site!

My tank and stand together were $399. Another lfs sells the cube for $283 and the stand for $180, but generally you can get it for $250-$300.
