Oceanic customer service??

I called Oceanic today for advice on my leaking Biocube. After being on hold for the customer service rep for only a couple of minutes, the receptionist informed me the rep was available and that she'd transfer me to him. The phone rang a couple of times and then went to voice mail.
The vm greeting said that he could be reached by email, so I left a vm and sent an email briefly explaining my problem. It's been a little over four hours and I have yet to hear from him! You'd think their customer service rep would put a little priority on a customer with a leaking aquarium!
Anyone had any experience with Oceanic customer service? Good, bad, horrendous?
Thanks!

Good news: Finally got through to somebody! :jumping:
Bad news: They told me to take the tank back to where I got it to exchange it.

I don't want to tear everything down and redo a new tank. I asked about repairing it with silicone and they told me that any modification done to the tank will void the 5 year warranty (however, if all the silicone is removed and they can't tell I did anything to it, then it's still covered by warranty!).
I may try resealing it...

what a joke! ANother reason why I hate biocubes...bad customer service by oceanic. Why dont you take it to the place you bought it from and have them exchange it? Becareful about sealing these things, i hope you will be able to sleep at night. Ive heard some scary stories about peoples tanks bursting out with water everywhere, causing the risk of fire/damage to property. If its a crack I wouldnt try fixing it. If its leakign from somewhere in the plastic, still a big risk.

Oh I feel so bad for you! I hope everything works out. Oceanic, once I got thru(I went through the voicemail thing for a little while too), was very pleasant to me. My fan was making noises so they sent me 2 new ones and some filters....all for free.
Well goodluck hun and try not to get down about it.
