Octo Gorgonian

Hello!
I recently purchased a red octo gorgonian from Saltwaterfish.com. It lasted only 2 days!
It was placed about 8 inches from a powerhead. The gorgonian gave the appearence of melting. The branches just disolved into the tank. It was really weird. Saltwaterfish.com stepped up and gave me a replacement. I received it last Saturday. Yesterday it started to do the same thing again. The branches are disolving. My levels are normal and I change water every 2 weeks. I feed them 2x a day with zooplex. I also have a protien skimmer and uv sterlizer hooked up.
Does anyone know why these awesome creatures are dying on me?
Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated. :help:
Enjoy your day!

I havent been able to keep the red/orange ones either. After researching I found that the red ones are from deep water so cooler, less light tanks is preferred. Try the yellow ones or the purple ones they do great for me.
