octopus coral losing color

Ahoy. What could be going on with my coral? It is losing its color on the top but not on the lower parts that are kinda out of the light. It all used to be pink but now the top part is white and the lower parts are doing fine. Do these need low light or something? I have 130 watts of pc on my 29 and this coral is about right in the middle.

im not an expert but i think your coral might be bleached how long have you had it and did you aclamate it to you light? also what is your lighting schedual :notsure:

Your PC lighting is not intense enough to bleach a frogspawn. My guess would be there are some other conditions that are causing the bleaching.

I was watching a National Geographic tape the other day on natural reefs bleaching from a rise in temperature from industrial spill-off.
Im sure that if it was spill-off raising the temp it could have also been a number of other things, However; they seemed to be REAL sure that it was the 5 degree heat change that caused it to bleach.

Alrighty, well what could be afecting my coral? Nothing has changed in my tank at all and it was doing great for a month and then just started losing color.
