Octopus vs ASM

Octopus NW110 for up to 90gal or ASM G mini for up to 75gal on a 55 gal tank. Very small sump/fuge so I can't go bigger. Whould there be a difference in proformance in these two skimmers?

octopus is the better choice. most people have been very happy with it.

I think you would be happy with either. I have not used the octopus brand
but have heard good things about them from people I trust. I have used ASMs (and still do) and feel they work well...reliable.
If you do not have lots of room in sump and want to go 'out of sump'..consider the MRC recirculating skimmers...very good!

I just purchased a used octopuss ,, i really like it,, But Then ,,,, I Have never really had any thing this quality,, But i like this nw 110 so far,,

id go with the octopus. i just purchased the asm mini g and im very unsatisfied. the company did not bother to seal it correctly with the acrylic glue so it leaks, it also leaks for me where you connect the collection cup to the neck, and the pump or impellar keeps on failing. save your money for something really nice

Does anyone know what the MAX operating Depth is on the Octopus NW112 ? Just ordered one!
