I don't like em' cause they crawl out and dry up. And you really can't get an octo to live a long time in captivity.

FROM WHAT I HAVE HEARD OCTOPUSES ARE VERY SNEAKY AND SMART, THEY ARE AWESOME CREATURES BUT IF I GOT ONE I WOULD BE SCARED IT WOULD ESCAPE. I MIGHT FIND IT ON MY HEAD WHEN I WAKE UP THE NEXT MORNING!!! LOL

the biggest problem is they can fit through ANY whole,, you tank has to be tight with no gaps,, overflows need to be covered, inlets, top need to all be more than secure,,, its very hard to make sure there isnt any escape.

That is what they say. I have saw a video on Youtube that shows one eatting a shark at a public aquarium. Smart and mean!

they eat hermit crabs and shrimp. If you can get them eating frozen foods than you can pick up almost anything from the fish section of your grocery store. try going to tonmo.com they have alot of info about octos. look under articles and forums.
