You can buy them; but do a lot of research. These critters are very hard to keep, and very hard to keep in the tank--they can crawl out thru an impossibly small space. (Though the plural is octupi; I like the sound of "octopusses better. Who do we see about changing this grammatical nightmare?)

Basically figure on getting an enclosed tank with a tight fitting lid and putting a brick on top. The Octo will try to eat any fish or inverts u place inside the tank with it. Also they have a very short life span.

Yup no more than two years. From what i have heard from my neighbor he had one for 2 years untill it laid eggs and died (which they will do) but he said it was like having a dog as in very very fun to watch and enjoy.
