I thought a "misbar" was a break in one or more of the stripes, and/or missing a stripe. So you are referring to an unusual stripe pattern?

look at the middle stripe on the right side of the fish, that's not a regular stripe

I know, I see that (and it's very pretty). I was just wondering what a "misbar" is. Is it just an unusual pattern? If so, what do you call it when there are "breaks" in the stripe, and then it picks back up, or one of the stripes is totally missing?

Thank you....The irregular stripe also doesn't go all the way to the bottom either though so I think that would make it a misbar. Misbar or not hes still amazing looking to me though

So do you think this guy will be ok? It doesn't seem to effect his swimming and it doesn't appear that there were any fins there to begin with (no scars, stubs, etc.) Its still a really cool looking fish with or without the fins.

These pictures really don't show off the colors of the fish though. Hes just under my desk lamp in QT right now and the camera is like a 3-4 year old cheap Sony one that I think has lost its ability to focus when zooming

he looks healthy and if showing no signs of stress...watch out for him when you put him in the tank make sure he doesnt have problems getting away from other fish that may chase him...other than that i think he is cool...i have 2 gold stripes in my tank...

He shouldn't have any problems. Its a pretty peaceful tank as of now. He will just be in with:
Shrimp Goby
Kole Tang
Green Chromis
Sally Lightfoot Crab
Cleanup Crew
The only others I am considering adding are Firefish and/or Bangaii Cardinals so I would expect him to bully them before they bullied him.

Thats what I figured. I would assume he would chase these fish before they chase him. I am thinking another clown would be a bad idea though since he may not be able to hold his own while they try to determine who is boss. I don't know if this affects his ability to swim away really fast because he just casually swims alone in the QT right now.
