Hey there.. a bit off topic, but I'm curious what other pets you guys keep.. any other semi-exotic critters? Frogs? Mice? Cats? Dogs? :) Maybe we'll have more in common then saltwater.. ~.^

Do kids count? After all I have to feed them, clean up after them, clean out there cages, (oops I mean rooms) and they run around like wild animals. Well actually My son has a lepeord gecko(sp)and my daughter has a conure, but you know who takes care of them you may aswell call them my pets. Some times I think I have 4 kids or maybe from the look of there rooms 4 pets.

I would't call them exotic, but I have lovely little Italian Greyhounds (also known as Iggies).
They aren't for everyone, but are addictive for those of us who love them and cater to their every whim. For those who don't know, they look like the big racing Greys, but are very small--about 10 pounds. Very speedy.

Not really exotic either, but we have a chow mix named Bowser (beautiful dog....I've actually had people stop me on the street to tell me how pretty he is), and my son has 2 ball pythons that he wants to eventually breed. I also have 2 freshwater tanks too.....

Hey Chris R, where abouts near Baton Rouge? My mom lives in Port Allen. That's where I graduated in 1982. Thinking about going back for my 20 year reunion this year. I've also lived in North Baton Rouge and Baker. :D

Galina,
My iguana was over 6 feet long when I gave him away. I had him for about 11 years - bought him when he was only about 12" long. He just got too big to handle and after he bit me while I was giving him a bath one day (required 5 stitches in my right thumb), I decided to find him a new home. Now my husband and I have a blue & gold macaw and an umbrella cockatoo - both of which could take fingers off if they choose to! Hmmm....maybe I should have kept the iguana....
If I knew how to post pics on here, I'd post "Iggy's" picture. He was a beautiful iguana and definitely a sight to see.

Awesom! I didn't know those suckers got that big.. I'm used to seeing these 24" ones. Macaws are beautiful birds... always wanted one, but I don't have the time to give it attention and care. With the chinchilla, a cat, and the aquariums.. I'm loaded. :)

ok where do i start. I have three saltwater fish tanks one 60 gallon and two 30 gallons. I have a ten gallon brackish tank and a one gallon betta tank. That is just the fish. Then I have a Leopard gekco, a sun conure (thats a parrot), and I have an albino chihuahua named cotton. This may not be alot for some but it is all my fiance and I can fit in our little one bedroom apartment. Oh I almost forgot about the bonsi tree :D

Yeah, most people don't realize they can get that big. I sure didn't when I bought him. I bought a cute green lizard who turned out to be a huge biting dinosaur! He was fun though.
The macaw is great. She's better behaved than the cockatoo. They are both a year old and will probably outlive me! They do require a lot of time and attention though.
My husband, Stacy, wants a chinchilla too, as if we don't have enough critters already! Don't know where we'd keep one though. We have a houseful!
