Officially a MH Proponent

Not looking to start a T5 vs MH debate, but I just had to share.
I've had a 4X54W T5 fixture for a few months and I've been relatively pleased with it. With the arrival of my new 1/3 HP chiller this week, I've had my new Outer Orbit 2X250W w/T5s up and running for a few days now. One word...WOW!
Not only are the MHs (Phoenix 14Ks) more asthetically pleasing to look at, but I've noticed a significant difference in my corals. My SPS defintely have more polyp extension and my Pink Pearl Bubble coral has just exploded. Looks like a bouquet of pink carnations.
Sorry, no pics. My camera went out last week (
) and after spending $1200 on lights and a chiller, I'm gonna hold off on the camera for a while.

Gratz!
Yeah once you HAVE metal halides --- it's really hard going back to anything else IMO.

i recently added two 150 MH and all of my corals soft to hard have grown, and are very happy. i had t5's by themselves before the MH were def. worth the money.
