Ok, its about 1" by 1/2". the body is brown and the 2 legs or whatever coming of of it are also brown. Then the side legs and back or front legs are greenish with black stripes. I think its a Porcelain Crab.

...and if it is not, there are few other hitch hikers that are worse  At least a lot of mantis shrimp are attractive.
At the LFS where I worked, there were three options. There was a 40,000g display, a 3,000g salt pond, or (if you wanted a chance to see the beast), the 12 g eclipse dubbed the 'tank of ill repute.'
I have filled the back filter area of my nano with a bunch of LR frags and threw a little hitch hiker crab in there (sump of ill repute). Couldn't bear to kill him. But didn't like watching those glowing red eyes either.

If its not too late, I'd suggest throwing it in your sump until you get a proper ID for it. I chased a friggin stone crab in my 90 for over a year. If you don't have a sump, you can use a glass jar or critter cage with tall smooth sides and put it in your tank. Crabs can't climb up slippery surfaces so you can contain in in your tank like that.
If you've already released it in the tank - you might want to become familiar with how to build a crab trap. Its a similar concept... use a glass jar (like a peanut-butter sized jar) and rest it on the bottom at a 45° or greater angle on a piece of live rock. Make sure he can climb in, but the jar is too steep to crawl out. Use a piece of shrimp or frozen food for bait. And voilla! You might just re-catch your crab.
Good luck.

i had a hitchhiker crab once. never really got a good look at him, very shy, kept scutteling into a hole in the LR. 2 days later i found bits of shell and my moray wasn't hungry. easy come easy go, i guess.
