I looked at my tank when the lights came on just a minute ago and the CUKE made it all the way up the back glass. He is slowly making his way back down. This is the oddest sight. He looks like a large inch worm.

I can't believe you said that. Just last night for the first time in over a year,my tiger cucumber was 3/4's of the way up the front glass. I have never seen him leave the sandbed. Maybe in the ocean there's a cucumber day,like groundhog day. My actinics were on so I don't think he saw his shadow.
