Do any of you guys in Ohio know Aquarium Adventure? They have 3 locations in Ohio and one in NY. They have seem pretty sweet deals(50% off all fish
) But the reason I am asking about this place is because I want to know if it is a good store to go too? It opens tomorrow. thats everyone

Im 15 mins from the NY location. I dont know how the ones in Ohio are but this one is ridiculously overpriced. They want $449 for a 150w HQI coralife pendant. $40 for a cleaner shrimp. $25 for a royal gramma. Dont get me wrong the quality and stock is great. The place is clean. Staff is knowledgable. But they are crazy with the prices. Hope you have better luck.

We have an Aquarium Adventure in Columbus, Ohio. The store itself is huge as far as aquarium only stores go. They have just about anything that you could ask for. Their selection of fish and corals are ussually great and the workers in Columbus seem very knowledgeable.
On the down side.....
The only time I shop at AA is when they are having a 50% off sale. Though their selection is great, there pricing is deffinately not. Fish and corals seem to be about twice the price as other competitors (i.e. Jacks Aquarium, Pets Plus). I understand that the overhead for a store the size of AA and it's prime location *upscale part of Columbus* has to be high, but it still can not justify the ussual pricing.

i have been to the AAs in columbus and cincinnati and both stores are WAY overpriced. that is why they have such big sales, bc they can still make money. they also have a club you can join to save money which is an ever bigger rip off. selections are decent, but i never see anything rare. i went in and sold an anemone back once and they gave me a ridiculous low ball price. i was shocked. the rock alone was worth more than what they offered me. i asked why they were not giving me money for the rock, and the customer assistant said they were giving me money for the rock, it was include in the price. i asked why it was such a low price and they said that they receive bulk prices and will only give according to those prices. i then asked why are the prices on their LR so expensive if you want to buy some and she didn't have an answer. i do not support this company. i understand most companies will offer 1/3 buy back prices or what not, but this company is cut throat.

I checked it out because a family member gave me a gift certificate to there and it was ok, a nice size store however I also was shocked at the prices. In my opinion there are far better places to go in this area..

I have been to the one if Columbus. The girl who runs the saltwater department (I think her name is Robin) seems knowledgeble (sp) and honest, but the place is WAYYYYYY overpriced and I don't think the selection is all that great. The seem to be out of alot of the "dry stock" items all the time too.

ive been to the one in the cincinnati/mason area, and wasnt really impressed, they had a few really nice "for show" tanks, but the actual tanks with livestock for sale were very dirty and many were overgrown, also out of all of their starfishes I didnt see one that had all of its legs. Plus the info on the tanks didnt match the inhabitants.
With all that said, Im new to the hobby so if this is common for the hobby stores, forgive me.
