How can you tell when your tank is cycled??
Please answer I really would like to know

funny thing is I set my tank up on 5/27 add 25lbs of cured live rock (purchased privately) and added bacta-backer and went on vacation for a week. now today all params are spot on.

If the rock is cured and transport time to your tank is minimal, then you already have an established colony of nitrifying bacteria, thus no real cycle. Congrats. I'd still take thing slow, though.

i always suggest to people who couldn't verify that they actually had a spike to add a piece of shrimp into the water and watch for a spike. If there is one, you didn't cycle or you don't have enough rock. if there isn't any ammonia present after a few days you did.
a couple days and a 25cent shrimp might end up costing you a lot less than adding fish and a clean up crew if you're not 100% sure you cycled.
