ok, Clown want to host toadstool??

I got a bubble tip Anemone about two weeks ago and the clown fish wont even look at it but yesterday he started rubbing on the toadstool, is he tring to host it?
the tosdstool is not liking it, it is a quite large toadstool and the anemone is small but so is the clown

every time the clown rubs on the toadstool it bends down and closes up

You can't pick who they chose as friends...I had clowns host a flowerpot coral and killed it. However they hosted a frogspawn coral after the death of the first, and all was well.
My clowns now host the output tubes from my canister filters. You might try moving the toadstool, since you have no control over the anemone either....it MIGHT make them leave it alone.

OK, now it's getting realy weard my yellow tang is now rubbing on the toadstool

but the toadstool is staying open now??

Although every clownfish is different, perculas tend to host in Magnifica or Carpet Anemones, and often will ignore Bubble Tip Anemones all together.
If you want a clown that is much more likely to host in a BTA, try a Maroon Clown. I've never had any issues getting that pair to host.

My percula pair of clowns hosted my RBTA within a week *shrug*. Since it moved to the back of the tank one of my clowns is still in it.. the other is hosting the red calerpa that was directly behind the nem durign the day.. then back to the nem at night :p.. They are odd little creatures and will host whatever they want to lol
