Ok Fish Wise?

As some of you know, I have a 55g Soft / LPS reef. I am nervous about getting a Tang of any kind, size, shape or color. Currently my LFS has some baby Yellow Tangs (1.5"-2"). Would one of them be ok in a 55g for a year or two? When it gets big, I will definately upgrade to a tank in the 75g-100g range, at the very least. He would be my 4th, and last addition fish wise. I currently have the following.
Gold-Striped Maroon Clownfish
Red Mandarin Dragonet
Blue-Fin Damsel
__________ <<< Reserved For Baby Yellow Tang.
My worst fear is the Tangs health, and ich. I know that these creatures get ich very easily, but my tank is pretty peaceful (even the Clownfish & Damsel). I would of course acclimate him as I do all of my other critters.
Thank you guys for any help you can give me.

QT him and you'll be fine.
I personally don't see any problems with a yellow tang in a 55g. You're not really losing swimming room from a 55 to a 75 to a 90g tank as they are all 4 feet long (standard anyways).

Just be careful. I havent been able to add any new fish since I added my yellow tang. They are very aggressive, and mine took over the whole tank. Make sure you've added all the fish your going to before adding this guy! But he is a beauty!
