This is what I want to do to "start" with.
Just get a 15-20 gal tank and just get ONE clown fish. That's all for now. Please tell me what you can as far as what I need to know to get it started and I'm - a - gunna do it! I appreciate the help, all!

You will need live rock and live sand or like carib sea in a bag. The live rock will seed the live sand. Is it going to be a reef tank or just a fish only with live rock.

Also what kind of filtration is another thing you will have to think about. I have a 20 gallon and I have a DSB (4 inches) and LR and a Tetra Tec HOB filter. THe HOB has a place for a heater so I have that with 1 larger powerhead and two very small powerheads.
I would suggest at least one powerhead and some sort of filtration (cannister or HOB) some place to run carbon to help with your water quality. Also to add to your water flow. I do not think that a protien skimmer is exactly necessary - but a CPR back-pak would be a nice skimmer to have....
Do you want a reef? Fish Only? Fish only with live rocks?
