Heres what i have,
i have a 90gal tank - not drilled.
a pro clear aquatic 150 pro wet/dry & skimmer built in.
(1) surge 6000 return pump (rated @ 700gph @ 3' lift)
(2) 300watt visi-therm deluxe heaters (marineland).
(3) Maxi-Jet 1200 PH PowerHeads (will arrive tomorrow)
(2) bags of 55gal reef crystals by instant ocean.
(2) bags of 20lb dry agronite sand
(2) bags of 50lb southdown sand
(1) hydrometer from marineland
(1) R/O unit
going to order 45-50lbs of LR from swf.com monday. i know i need more, i will add more when i can afford more. (and cure it before i add it so it doesn't cycle the tank again)
i do not have lighting or a test kit yet, that shouldn't be needed for 2 weeks after the tank has been up and running correct? and i do not need to run the skimmer till 2 weeks or when i put the live rock in.
since this is being setup from scratch, do i need to cure any of the sand?
will it be ok to start setting it up tonight till the live rock gets here? add the water, make sure that starts circulating correctly, then add the salt mixture...test w/ meter...then add sand...or start off with the sand, then add water, start pumps. then add salt last?...how have you guys done it?
thanks for all the good threads to read, i just want to make sure i do the first setup right.
