i have a 180 gallon tank with 200 lbs live rock and 290 pounds of live sand(4-6 inches depending on the area). i cant decide what i want in my tank. my tank is almost cycled out.
what should i put in my tank. im sick of naming the fish i want and them not being compatible. someone decide my list for me. what should i stock the tank with and what should my first fish be?

jwtrojan's idea sounds awesome. i would love to have an eel, lionfish, and 2 triggers that would leave me able to have a cleanup crew. that's the only reason i would go community becuase everyone makes it seem like my work is gonna be tripled without one. i would rather have the zebra moray, a volitan, and 2 triggers like that. any change of getting a puffer in there?
so as of now
i'm going with
volitan lion
2 triggers(one of the planktonic triggers, hafta look at them to see which one is most eye appealing)
zebra moray
what else can go with these and leave me with a cleanup crew? and which should be added first?

so i have a 180 gallon tank and can only hold 4 fish?!? what about a cleaner crew for that? when do they go in? will these fish be able to live in it for life? which would be better for the tank zebra moray or snowflake? no groupers? are all these fish gonna be hiding all the day? is the eel hardy enough to get put in my tank when it's new like it is now? it's only been up for a few weeks, and only been cycling since 8/13. my ammonia is at 0, so once my nitrites get to zero i should do a 30-40 percent water change and then add a zebra moray and he/she should live? also should do you guys the moderators/shark work for saltwaterfish.com? should i buy my zebra moray from here or is it better to see if my lfs can order it for me?
sorry for all the questions, just really anxious/excited to get this thing going. i've put all this money into it and have nothing to show. and i feel like i've had enough problems that it all gets easier in time. and i make less mistakes.

Your kind of in the same boat I was about 2 months ago. I bought a volitan lion on a whim (I wanted sharks but 100g isn't big enough for life) well, I love my volitan he is the coolest most patient stalking hunter i have ever seen. I sit for hours and watch him. my neibors come over and its like 'king of the hill' in front of my tank "yep, um,huh" go slow, it's so worth it!!!
