please help me. I have an algea problem. I have tried to explain what kind of algea it is but have had a few problems.. it's the kind of algea you would find at the bottom of a river. just slimy and green, smells when taken out of the water. my parameters are ph 8.4 nitrates/nitrites 0 salinity 1.022 ammonia 0. i have 2 VHO bulbs about 72W in all right now. I have tried capsules for the algea and that turned my water a reddish colour. i presently have no fish in there all in quarantine. but do have about 10 turbo snails. what do i need to do. someone told me more lighting.. but just want more input as lighting is very expensive
