Well my dad and I bought one today, to come home to see all the lights on. So right now he's taking it back. The elecricity wasn't the problem, I just had the flow on max. because it was coming out foam, then we left it unattended and it overflowed.

might as well keep it, it won't be the last storm of the year, and then you get tornado season comming up too.

Well tornado's aren't quite as bad, the power outages only last a couple of hours, not a week. And this ice storm has been one of the worst, usualy it isn't this bad.

They said this one is the largest in there history as a power company with about a million without power and they are still trying to restore power for people. Last I heard it was down to about 170,000 so its getting better and just in time for the snow that is dropping at a very fast rate.

Yep I saw some crews from North Carolina working on my mom's neighborhood, so I'll have power at both of my parent's houses by tonight. Realy glad I got power before the snowstorm, becuase it's a lot colder than the ice storm. 17 degree windchill.

I just got my power back on in norman today. I was so happy. I only have two tanks but lost my pride and joy. It was my brackish eel. He lived for a few days and we tried everything. I think he just got way to cold. our 10 gal with godfish was fine. they were all hiding at the botom of the tanks and when the lights came on was ready to be fed. I am happy that this snow storm is not as bad as they thought. I have to drive to okc for work and the roads where ok.

These 4 are the hardiest fish I think god has ever made. These 4 have been my only survivors through 2 tank disasters and now being frozen and they come out fighting like champs every time. All four came out begging for food when the lights came on, because of these 4 I WILL rebuild lol never thought fish would give me hope. My wonderful survivor's are my Sixline, Hawkfish, Yellow Tang, and peacock mantis shrimp.
Hey just wondering, I completely understand if you don't want to anymore under the circumstances, but are you still interested in the tanks? Again either way is cool with me because I may set them up if you don't want them. I'm using the 20g as a QT right now.

They always say this is the worse ever. I'd still try to talk your dad into keeping it, a few hours is alot especially during the summer when it gets to be one of those 103 degree days.
