Man, sorry to hear that. I didn't ask for anything other than that people get my son things that he wants (last year no one really even looked at his list). I did, at least, get a gift card for That Fish Place, and the only other thing was 2 six-packs of Guinness Extra Stout from my sister. I don't drink anymore (it's not really zen), but figured that since I really loved the stuff when I did drink I might as well drink it now; no one else will, except my dad, and he got the same thing.

I'll take the powertools if you don't want them.

Seriously, though, it's almost like a gift list for a guy just going out on his own. Did they mix up your gifts with a brother, perhaps?

Yeah, it turned out to be the wheel attached to the belt wasn't attached to the motor properly anymore. It just needed aligned and tightened and the motor needed some major cleaning. Luckily the realtors agreed to pick up the tab because there was supposed to be a home warranty setup at settlement and their office fudged up the paperwork.

My sister got me Crocs with the NY Yankees emblem on them, which rocks. The bad part is they're too small and they were mail order from MLB.com so now I have to mail them back and wait for the correct size.
No other complaints from me.

i did move out a couple of months ago, but most of the items on there i already have...with the exception, of course, of the power tools. don't see much of a need for them tho as i live in an apartment with an incredible maintenance staff. and i wanted a wii dang it!!! getting old sucks - you don't get toys anymore!

Hey Kerri,
I have a great mojo pulled pork recipe if you'd like it. Good way to break in that croc pot.

Alex, thanks for the sympathy. The kids got a lot of stuff, which is really cool to see them so excited. My wife and I usually buy what we want, when we want, within reason, so it is not such a big deal to me or her. I would have to say the $3/gal for gas, has definitely put somewhat of a crimp on everyday spending, including Christmas.
Are you still going to TFP tomorrow? What time? I'll probably go in the evening(kind of up in the air), need to buy a pump with my coupon. I read about your furnace, I'm glad you were able to get it taken care of. That is cool your realtor didn't leave you hanging. Ours was pretty cool also with a couple of things we didn't know about. Good luck, I hope no more major issues arise for you. Maybe see you down there tomorrow.

That is almost as bad as my mom forgetting mine all together last year. Didn't forget my sister's 10 days later
. I really don't care about gifts at all, but a card would have been nice. Better luck this year, reefkprZ.
