I just recently acquired a hitchhiker mantis from some LR from Fiji. He is only about 1.5" long. I am trying to decide to keep him or not. The problem is I have several fish already and don't want to lose them. I am going to feed the mantis some meaty foods until I decide.
But here's my questions....
He lives in a rock that is on top of a pile of rocks, should I move his rock down to the bottom?
Also, if I keep him, other than some aggressive fish, could I keep and eel with him? Like a snowflake, etc.?
Any info you have would be great. If you want to see the pictures I can send them to you.
Thanks

Yeah, send me the pics and maybe I can tell you what it is. If it's from Fiji there's a lot of possibilties. The thing with keeping him in an aggressive tank is that he is very small and most aggro fish would like nothing more than a tasty mantis snack. That snowflake would have him for lunch in no time I think. It's really a size issue. My peacock was 6"+ so my fish didn't bother him as he was their size and vice versa. Shoot me an email and I'll try to help out as much as I can. By the way, what kind of fish do you have in there with him?
