Okay who wants to help me with my homework

so I am an english major and I have to write a paper on ethics, this is where you come in

I need a few people to answer the question, "What do you think when you hear the word ethics?" no wrong answers, I just need some very general thoughts, doesn't need to be anything deep. Thanks!

I'm with Wintew.......general ethics and morals is what we can all probably take on as acceptable behavior/beliefs.
I also think it is completely different from personal ethics and morals.

I think general ethics is the law. Ethics is more of a personal thing. You and I will definitely live by different code of ethics but under the same law of the land.

Well my thought on that is just because it is "Acceptable" doesn't mean its "Ethical"

Oh, Let's not go there!! More people have been killed over a persons or people's interpretation of this book than any other reason on the planet and in the history of mankind. The higher power I pray to weep's over mankinds judgment and treatment of eachother. Does anyone remember the Rev Jim Jones and his take on the bible. I'll pass on the kool-aid! thanks

Ok, what I think of when I hear the word is, someone else's beliefs on how I and EVERYONE else should behave and believe. But when I see a person with true ethic's the word that comes to mind is..shine.

I Studied Ethics in a Law Enforcemant academy, and really to me it's a code of conduct with some politics thrown in.

I higly disagree. Now more people have probably died for being a chritian then any other reason. Comunism killed alot of people islam has killed alot of people securlism has killed alot of infants 1/3 of the 20 somthing population has been aborted.
