Olbermann last night

Anyone watch Keith's Tea Party rant last night?
The way I see it, people can say that they're just a group of people who care about what's best for their country and the people, but hearing some of the stuff that collectively comes out of THEIR mouths makes me wonder why they're taken as seriously as they are.
I'm also waiting to see if the people that are jumping on these people's bandwagons know all of this, if they think critically of their candidates, will they wake up, or if this is just "more of the liberals being mean to the poor right."
Just pointing it out. All of the political ads and what not have put me over the edge...

I would confirm anything Olberman says through a reliable source.
You can filter any large group of people and find nuts. I find the most effective way (other than attending) is to look at the signs people are carrying but you have to look at them from wide angle shots so it isn't just someone focusing in on one nut in a sea of regular folks. Remember the left has been caught more than once sending plants into Tea Party events to act like idiots, which doesn't seem to be a major task for some of them.

Olberman is just worthless these days, I can't listen to anything he says for more about 20 seconds....It's a pity too, the guy was so good on SportCenter.

You mean that MSNBC is still Broadcasting. I thought they pulled the plug on them. But then again if I want to get Left wing News all I have to do is Tune into any Chicago Station and all I here is how bad the GOP/Tea Party and how good Obama and his Economy is doing.

But Keith hasn't mentioned the man that Obama ordered his AG to stop investigating has said "I'd kill all the white babies, too." And that man is also the leader of the new black panthers who, btw, stood in front of a polling place and said whites aren't allowed to vote and told the blacks going in to vote for Obama "or else". Hmmm, Keith didn't mention that whacko? Yup people demanding that the politicians start doing the will of the governed and return to a constitutional restraint in their governance, I can see how that would be dangerous to good ol Keith. It is liberal activists who have gone to the rallies and made the outrageous statements-Hannity (I guy I don't care for) had some of them caught on tape. So it is not even a few "nuts" in the tea party, it is liberal activists trying to make the tea party seem dangerous. It is Keith Olberman's fellow-travelers who are saying stupid stuff. He and his kind will do anything to get their socialist Utopia.

Yeah I saw it. It's was great, but you won't get much support on this board as a lot of the members have believe in that wacko stuff. The tea party's idea are out there for sure. like lets get rid of public schools. come on do you really mean that? O well i see this world getting more messed up everyday and I really do blame them all but at least the Dem stands for more of what I believe in.

That is the thing Darth, it is hard to pin down the official Tea Party. Is it Tea Party Express or Freedomworks? I'm not sure who our local GOP extemist canidate is affiliated with and he is so nuts it may just be a Tea Party of one in his case. But that being said, DeFazio has a website www.whoisartrobinson.defazioforcongress.org or something like that and it has Robinson on camera calling for the end of public school systems and this guy is getting suitcases full of cash from somewhere. Not sure why the link is not working, but that seems to be the correct address and it is on the front page.

I find no mention of the Tea Party backing the guy and in fact according to the Times he beat the tea party candidate in the primary
http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2010/10/15/us/politics/tea-party-graphic.html
As far as extremist this guy wants to end the public school system (according to his opponent's website, not a very reliable source but maybe true) while Defazio is the nutjob who introduced the bill creating a tax on financial transactions. I'd call that a pretty extreme idea.

But maybe true? What does he have to do write it in blood or did those clever Dems mess with the video of him saying that in his own words and I also said very clearly in my post that I don't know what Tea Party he is associated with, but someone is giving this guy a ton of money, he lives in a compound and reports about 12,000 dollars a year as income, just the person to fix and understand how to fix the economy. LOL Defazio has been way too easy on this whack-job who is in love with the sound of his own voice and B.S.

I'd rather have a poor person try to fix things than a guilty rich liberal who wants a tax on every financial transaction I make. If thats his idea of fixing things I say leave it broken.
And yeah, MAYBE the guy said it. I can't believe you would post a link to his opposition's website as "proof" he thinks the schools should be abolished. Does he list that on his own website, did you even bother to check or did you just assume he favors that like you did he was a Tea Party candidate? I actually checked out his website. Nothing about doing away with public schools, only restoring local control. Checked his endorsements and No Dick Army or Sarah Palin so that kinda rules out the Tea Party.

Reef, you are doing it again, no matter how bad a conservative canidate is, you still take their side. You need to stop that B.S., I live here and I am well aware of Mr. Robinsons views as I am of Defazio and frankly Robinson is not the type of individual that anybody should want as someone we send to Washington to represent us. He denies everything he has said in the past because he can't defend his behavior except they are written in his own newsletter. His website does not mention that he thinks dumping radio active waste over the United State and into the ocean in dilluted form may actually be good for us or that AIDS is just a sympton of having gay sex. His claims to be a research scientist are about as valid at this point as someone looking for bigfoot or the lock Ness monster.
I would be happy to vote out Defazio because he has been there too long, but this is another of the subpar canidates that is representing the GOP this year and I guess I should be proud that my district has fielded the absolutely worst of the lot this election cycle.
But since you want a Tea Party person with an anti-public school stance, then does Angle saying that she would get rid of the Department of Education count? Surely you have heard that yourself.

I went right to the guy's website, no Tea Party affiliation that I can find yet we see the typical left wing tactic of demonizing your political enemies by branding them to something you hate, in this case the Tea Party, even after I posted a link from the New York Times that mentioned this guy actually beat the tea party candidate in the primary. Also went to the Oregon Tea Party website, again no mention.
Yes, I have heard Ms. Angle suggest doing away with the department of education, just like Ronald Reagan and countless other common sense folks who understand that the federal government shouldn't be involved in local schools. This might be a difficult concept for you to grasp but what works for educating kids in Washington DC isn't going to be the best way to do it in LA or Chicago and sure as heck isn't going to be the best way to do it in Nevada or Oregon. That is the trouble with a strong central government, it doesn't work well in a large diverse country like ours. That is why those wise old dead white guys created a Federal system, so states which had a far better understanding of the needs and desires of their residents would take on as many governmental responsibilities as possible.
Now, what do you suppose is more destructive to the country, Someone like Robinson who wrote in a newsletter that after the process of human exposure to low levels of radiation are better understood it might be possible to dilute radioactive waste into the oceans without harm to people or the environment (see, I actually read about subjects I debate) or Defazio who introduced the bill to create a financial transactions tax? Because Defazio is the Chairmen of a house subcommittee who has actually taken steps to make his extreme idea come to life I would suspect that is more of a danger than a first term congressman (assuming Robinson could even win in Oregon) who believes AFTER extensive study is conducted we MIGHT discover it's possible to dilute radioactive waste in seawater without harm to people or the environment.

How does suggesting the removal of the department of education, translate into abolishing the Public education system?
So when we did away with the Office of technology assessment...the person that proposed this must be against Technology? Or when the Student Loan marketing association (once a federal department) was done away with that group is against Students Loans?
Or wait...I know...someone is against The right to public information...Since the Federal body known as the Committee on Public Info was shutdown...

Reef I said this guy seems to be a Tea Party of one, did you miss that? I did notice that you left out Robinsons wisdom on AIDs, like I said, you are defending this guy simply because he is conservative. You went right to his website, well you did not watch this guys debate and you also have left out that his home-school material has some pretty interesting things to say about African Americans. I hope Robinson goes back to his compound and maybe next time the GOP can run a canidate that is not a crazy old guy who can best be described with the personality of a cult leader. As for dumping radioactice waste, well this guy does not trust the public school system, yet he is more than happy to trust the government or maybe if where lucky a company like KBR or Haliburton to safely handle and dump that waste? Really.........
I'll let you take the lead on this and volunteer to have Robinson dump a truckfull of his deluded radioactive waste in your backyard first. Don't forget that he pretty much wants to use the whole U.S. as a dumping ground too. LOL

Obama seems to be Communist.

Darth, I can't wait till you guys start having to defend the these canidates that get elected when they start looking for birth certificates on our dime. I provided a person who is a GOP canidate who is on tape saying he wants to get rid of the public school system, every Tea Party person I know of is running on the GOP ticket so......
